Community Partners

For many years, Joseph’s Deli has been aware of the poverty in Charlotte County. We strive to give back to our community through the Homeless Coalition. The Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in June 1989. The Coalition’s direct services include our Safe House Emergency Shelter, housing up to 52 individuals and children, generally for up to a 30-day period, allowing our Case Managers to assist with finding stable, affordable housing. The Safe House Shelter has 20 beds reserved for homeless Veterans, referred to us from neighboring counties. Our Hunger Prevention Programs includes a Hot Meals Program, open 365 days per year, serving a nutritious breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to more than 180 people every day. Our Food Pantry is open once a week, providing a three-day supply of food to families in need. Our Bridges Out of Poverty Program provides classes and group training to equip clients with the knowledge and tools needed to help them move out of poverty and make responsible financial decisions that will help ensure they stay housed following services. We are aligned with their mission to help alleviate hunger and homelessness in our community.

Stop by Joseph’s Deli to give back to our community. All donations go directly to the Programs and Services at the Homeless Coalition. For more information about the programs and services at the Homeless Coalition visit.
